SELLING YOUR PROPERTY · NORTHLAND & AUCKLAND

Get your property ready for market. With less on your plate.

Request my quote

Pre-sale house washing and property care, planned around your photography, open homes and handover dates.

There’s plenty to organise when you’re selling. Cleaning the outside of the property shouldn’t mean finding a different company for every job.

Blast Away Guys helps homeowners and real estate agents across Northland and Auckland prepare properties for sale. From the letterbox and front gate through to the back of the section, we can take care of the agreed exterior cleaning, plus chimney sweeps, inspections and other practical jobs.

Tell us the address, what needs attention and the dates you’re working towards. We’ll help you prioritise, explain the options and confirm what we can schedule.

Our head office and most of our team are based in Whangārei. We also have team members based in Auckland.

A house wash, a chimney sweep and more. Planned together.

Getting ready to sell can mean chasing quotes from several companies and trying to line up every booking. We can take care of several of those jobs, plan the sequence and manage changes with you. Fewer providers to organise while you prepare the property for market.

A house, garage, entrance or full exterior clean. We help you work out what is worth doing before the property goes on the market.

From the front gate to the back of the section

Ask us to quote the areas that need attention. That might be a house wash and entrance path, or several jobs around the property.

House, garage and sheds

Soft washing of suitable cladding, joinery, entrance alcoves, eaves, spouting and the outside of gutters. We assess the surface and condition before choosing a method.

What a house wash includes

Decks and outdoor living

Decks, steps, railings, patios and suitable fences. Tell us which areas need attention and we’ll include the agreed work in your quote.

Driveways, paths and entrances

Concrete and paved areas, including the approach buyers will use. We consider the surface, drainage and likely result.

Concrete and hard-surface cleaning

Roofs and gutters

Roof treatment or roof washing, gutter clearing and downpipe flushing. We can also assess minor gutter and downpipe repairs.

Explore roof washing and treatment

BugBlock insect treatments

Interior or exterior insect treatments can be included where needed. Exterior washing comes first. Applying treatment to clean, dry surfaces helps it adhere better and supports a longer-lasting result.

BugBlock and pest control

Other jobs on the list

Ask about solar panel cleaning, a chimney sweep and inspection, or motorhome and caravan washing with a ceramic protective wax coating.

We confirm the scope and availability for each service.

Start with what your property needs

You don’t need to book every service. Tell us what your agent has suggested, what is bothering you and the budget you have in mind. We can help prioritise the work.

Cleaning can improve presentation, but it does not repair damaged paint, rotten timber or other building defects. We’ll explain relevant limitations we identify.

Does selling mean you need to pay for a roof wash?

Not necessarily. A roof wash can be a significant investment when you’re preparing to sell. Where suitable, roof treatment can be a gentler, more cost-effective option for addressing moss, mould and lichen.

Roof treatment works gradually

We apply a treatment to target the growth. Weather helps it break down and clear over time. Visible growth may still be present when the property goes on the market.

We explain the likely timescale for the roof and growth involved. Treatment is different from an immediate wash.

Roof washing gives a more immediate result

If the roof needs to look clean for photography or viewings, washing may be appropriate. We assess the material, condition and access before recommending it.

We’ll explain the cost and the expected result so you can make an informed choice.

Don’t want to fork out for a roof wash when you’re selling?

We get it. You have plenty of other costs to think about. Where roof treatment is suitable, we can apply the treatment and provide a completion-of-works certificate confirming the work has been done.

Give it to your real estate agent and interested buyers. It records that the roof has been treated, even while the growth is still breaking down and clearing. We explain what to expect so you can pass that information on too.

The certificate records the completed treatment. It is not a roof-condition assessment or a guarantee of when all growth will disappear.

If the property relies on tank water, we also discuss downpipe disconnection, flushing and suitable diverter options before roof treatment.

Tick the chimney sweep and inspection off too

If your agent has recommended a fireplace sweep and inspection, we can take care of that alongside the other work.

Our trained chimney technicians carry out the sweep and inspection and provide an inspection report and sweep certificate. You can pass these records to your agent or prospective buyers.

If the inspection identifies something that needs attention, the report gives you information to follow up. A sweep certificate is a record of the service, rather than a promise that repairs will never be needed.

A clear plan around your sale dates

  1. Tell us your dates. Include photography, painting, open homes or handover dates when you request a quote. We’ll confirm availability and discuss weather-dependent work.
  2. Choose what you want priced. Select services on the quote request form. Each service is priced individually, with the agreed inclusions explained.
  3. Review the options. Ask questions and tell Novi if you want the quote changed. We’ll help you prioritise rather than assume you need everything.
  4. Let us coordinate the booking. We plan the sequence, technicians and access. If weather affects the work, Novi manages the communication.

We can discuss access with your nominated agent or property contact. Let us know who can approve the work and who should receive updates.

Bundle suitable work and save

Combining jobs can reduce duplicated travel and setup costs as well as the number of providers you need to organise. Your quote shows individual service prices and any applicable bundle savings.

Helping sellers get the work handled

Several jobs before the listing went live

For one Northland pre-sale property, we coordinated a house wash, roof treatment, gutter clear and concrete cleaning, plus pergola and blind cleaning and exterior insect treatment.

The customer had a target listing date. We also explained the roof treatment and offered a completion-of-works certificate for the agent and prospective buyers.

“We were thrilled with the results - thank you!”

Pre-sale customer feedback emailed to us after the work was completed.

An agent impressed with the result

Another seller booked the house and double garage, gutters, roof treatment, paths, driveway, a small deck and the inside of the front fence.

“They have done a great job. Passing your details over to the real estate agent as well as she was impressed.”

Pre-sale customer feedback emailed to us after the work was completed.

Need windows cleaned inside and out, or another trade?

We can recommend a window cleaner for a separate inside-and-out clean. Our house wash includes soft washing and rinsing the exterior windows, rather than hand-detailing the glass.

We also have established relationships with plumbers, electricians, builders and roofers. If your pre-sale list includes repairs or other trade work, ask us for a recommendation.

You book and agree those services directly with the provider. We can discuss the cleaning sequence so the work fits together.

Our 100% Love Clean Guarantee

If you are not completely satisfied with your clean, let us know and we will come back and sort it for free. If you are still not happy, we won’t charge you a cent.

Questions when you’re getting ready to sell

Can you clean before our photography or open home?

Tell us the date as early as possible. We’ll confirm availability and plan the work around access, weather and any drying time needed. We don’t promise a deadline before checking the booking.

Do I need to wash the whole property?

No. Choose the areas you want quoted. We can help you prioritise the work and revise the quote if your plans change.

Can a real estate agent organise the work?

Yes. We can communicate with an agent or nominated property contact. We agree who can approve the quote, provide access and receive updates.

Can roof treatment still help if we are selling soon?

Where suitable, yes. It addresses the growth gradually and can cost less than washing. It will not provide an instant clean. We explain expectations and can provide a completion-of-works certificate confirming the treatment was applied.

Which areas do you cover?

We help sellers across Northland and Auckland. Our head office and most of our team are based in Whangārei, and we also have team members based in Auckland. Tell us the property address and services you need.

Ready to get it sorted?

Tell us the property address, jobs you want priced and any photography, open-home or handover date.

Novi will review the request and help put a practical plan together.
