Regular washing removes dirt, salt deposits and organic build-up from painted surfaces.
1. Washing removes dirt and salt deposits that collect on exterior paintwork. Coastal and sheltered areas may need particular attention.
2. We choose a suitable cleaning method for the cladding, coating and its condition. Existing damage is discussed before work begins.
3. Regular cleaning makes it easier to see areas that need maintenance, including worn coatings, cracks and other visible concerns.
Resene recommends annual cleaning to help maintain the fresh appearance of exterior paintwork. Follow the care instructions for your own coating and cladding.
Getting Blast Away Guys in to do a regular house wash is much cheaper than repainting your house sooner than needed.
We only ever soft wash the cladding using a special nozzle as not to cause damage.

difference?
Water blasting and soft washing both involve using a water blaster. However, the main difference is the pressure and products used.
Water Blasting involves water only being forced through a tiny nozzle hole, producing a high-pressure force of water better suited to surface preparation and concrete cleaning. If you use this sort of pressure to wash your house, you will likely do damage and force water into the materials you are washing.
Soft washing is carried out at much lower pressures. Not only is it softer it also includes the application of a salt-based (sodium) cleaning product that does a lot of the work to cut through grime, dirt and mould. This salt-based product used at the correct strength will remove stains and make things look bright, shiny and clean, without harsh pressure or excessive brushing.

We assess the cladding, paint and joinery before choosing suitable products and low-pressure soft-washing methods. Tell us about leaks, loose paint, damaged surfaces or specific manufacturer care instructions. We discuss vulnerable areas and any limitations before work begins.
What exactly is included in a house wash?
Our standard house wash includes your exterior walls, joinery, eaves, entrance alcoves, and the outside of your gutters and downpipes — everything from the ground up to the gutter line. We’ll also treat mould-prone areas as part of the wash (not as an extra) to help prevent regrowth and keep things looking good for longer.
How much does a house wash cost in Northland ?
A standard 140m² home wash with external windows starts from $312 in peak season and $265.20 in off-peak season. Prices depend on your property size and we always provide a tailored quote.

If the weather affects your booking, we will contact you and arrange another suitable time.
Do I need to be home when you do the wash?
Not at all. Most of our customers aren’t home during their service — we just ask that gates are unlocked, windows are shut, and pets are secure. We’ll send friendly reminders and a profile of the technician coming to your place so you know exactly who to expect and when.
How long do the results last?
Our results don’t just look great on the day — they last. Because we use professional-grade treatments to kill mould spores and help prevent regrowth, you can expect a cleaner home for longer. Most homeowners only need a full house wash once a year.
