A house wash is not required before every exterior treatment. However, when the building needs washing, doing it first removes dirt, grime, old webs and egg sacs from the surfaces being treated.
Once the appropriate surfaces are clean and dry, we apply the exterior residual treatment directly to them. This gives the product a clean surface to adhere to and helps it stay in place and keep working.

Before an interior treatment, remove or cover food, utensils, pet bowls, toothbrushes, toys and personal items in the treatment area. Clear benches and floors so we can reach the areas being treated. Dusty or greasy target surfaces should be wiped clean and allowed to dry.
People and pets must remain away during application and until treated surfaces are dry. Tell us about fish tanks, ponds, edible plants, play areas and other sensitive areas before the visit.
Once the treatment has dried, avoid wiping treated skirtings, frames and entry points unless necessary. Cleaning those surfaces can remove the residual barrier and shorten the protection.
We use around three months as a practical planning point for an exterior treatment rather than making one sweeping promise for every property.
Sheltered surfaces may remain effective for longer. Areas exposed to heavy rain, strong sunlight or frequent washing may weather sooner. Surface type, surrounding vegetation and the level of insect activity also affect the result.
